Brief info

A Lawyer by profession Betty Byanyima has a heart for leadership development and is called to equip leaders to disciple nations.

She is a John Maxwell Certified Team Member, Leadership Trainer and Coach.

Betty is Faculty of the Haggai International an Institute of Advanced Leadership (Hawaii, USA) and the Institute of National Transformation in Uganda.

She is Technical Advisor to the Organization of African First Ladies For Development (Uganda).

She began her career working as a Publicity Officer with the Population and Housing Census Project in 1990, after which she worked as a Child Development Officer with Compassion International from 1992 to 1995.

She later took on the position of Civil Society Legislative Specialist with the Uganda Parliamentary Technical Assistance Project, a USAID Project, where she rose to the level of Deputy Chief of Party, a position she held until the Project ended in 2002.

Betty has implemented training and other development Programs at the international, regional and national level.

She is a recipient of the Uganda Jubilee Award 2015, for her outstanding contribution to the development of women in Uganda.

Betty currently serves as the Executive Director of the Global Leadership Summit in Uganda.

She is married to Hon. Nathan Byanyima they have adult children.
